The centre-piece of the Khowarib Lodge complex is the lapa, an immense thatched structure constructed from local materials in traditional style. A large kopje creates an impressive back drop to the reception, bar, lounge, dining area and curio shop.Visitors relaxing on the veranda enjoy a panoramic view of the gorge, cliffs and surrounding area.

Our restaurant offers a 3 course, set menu for dinner, prepared with exquisite care, ensuring a delightful taste under the usually clear and star-struck skies. Breakfast is a buffet, promising the healthy fruits and cereals, freshly home-baked breads, cold meats, various cheeses and a menu of bacon, eggs of preference, sausage, fried tomatoes or mushrooms, or omelettes of choice.
